OUR LEADERSHIP
Dr. Melvin W. Lightford, M.D. Dr. Melvin Lightford has had a remarkable journey in the medical field. He attended Tennessee State University from 1975 to 1979, where he studied chemistry and biochemistry. Later, he pursued his medical studies at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, earning his Doctor of Medicine degree . Following his medical degree, Dr. Lightford underwent further training at Albert Hospital of Meharry Medical College. He dedicated himself 1983, to specialize in Internal Medicine. Dr. Lightford believes in the importance of lifelong learning. Since 1987, he has earned over 300 awards for continuing medical education from the American Medical Association. Dr. Lightford currently serves at Nashville Healthcare Center MetroCenter. |

Dr. Wayne E. Moore, M.D. Dr. Wayne E. Moore is a board-certified emergency medicine physician who has practiced for the past thirty years. Dr. Moore received his medical degree from Meharry Medical College and completed his residency in emergency medicine at Howard University Hospital. Dr. Moore was the former Chief of Emergency Medicine at Nashville General Hospital and also served as Director of Emergency Medical Services for the District of Columbia. He is currently on the advisory board of the Paramedic Program at Volunteer State Community College and is also a local medical director of the annual Country Music Marathon. Dr. Moore loves people, enjoys scuba-diving, traveling, and spending time with his lovely wife Dora Moore. He is proud of his two daughters Kamilah and Kimiko who are currently in medical school and are following in his footsteps. |
